IT Manager

Position Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will hands-on lead and manage outsourced client IT Support engagements with the following accountabilities:
Project Management:
Lifecycle development from requirements definition to implementation and warranty support.
Management of small to large project groups including multiple internal applications and external vendors. Estimation and planning, risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking and management of progress, issues, budget, risk and resources.
Accountability for project budget and time lines.
Manage client relationship to build knowledge of business partner’s business, application and corresponding IT applications.
Ensure client satisfaction by communicating with them in a timely manner regarding project status, escalating and resolving issues as they arise.
People Management:
Provide clear expectations to staff and provide ongoing feedback on individual and team achievements.
Provide effective and timely communication with the project delivery team, including project status, risk assessment and project health.
Manage employees in compliance with all HR policies, procedures and guidelines of conduct.
Manage and measure performance of all project team members and perform all PP&D processes.

Technical:
Manage the resources required to support and develop the I.T. infrastructure in use by the company; including the ERP system, network and server infrastructure, PC hardware and software and mobile devices (PDA, Blackberry, etc.).
Education and Background Requirements:
College/University or equivalent work experience.
Must have 5-7 years IT management experience.
Solid Technical background in Network Architectures, System Integration and Database Management.
Vendor management experience an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to transform strategic ideas into practical solutions.
Builds strong relationships with business partners, vendors, and IT teams.
Self starter with excellent organization and interpersonal skills. |
